Attestor exists to produce governed, attributable, bounded Trust Statements through Rule-Constrained Evaluation of Attestations against eligible governed inputs.
Its purpose is not to determine universal truth or to replace the authority of the records it references. Attestor expresses a bounded trust conclusion while preserving provenance, scope, limitations, and institutional authority.
Attestor's canonical responsibility is the production and governance of Trust Statements. Each statement preserves its bounded conclusion, subject, scope, evaluation basis, provenance, limitations, relevant state, and Attestor attribution.
A Trust Statement should remain connected to the eligible governed inputs, records, Attestation, evaluation basis, and attributable sources relevant to it so that its basis can be inspected and traced without implying that every referenced source independently supports the resulting conclusion.
Attestor does not convert evidence into universal truth. Its statements must remain scoped to the question, subject, evidence, rules, status, and limitations that support the conclusion.
Attribution, reviewability, correction, supersession, and preserved history allow Trust Statements to remain accountable as information changes or new evidence becomes available.
Attestor may reference certifications, registered records, Chronicle events, integrity references, discovery metadata, intelligence, workflow context, and other governed inputs without becoming the canonical authority for those objects.
Attestor provides a trust-specific output that can participate in the Satoshium Suite while remaining distinct from certification, registration, history, integrity, discovery, intelligence, workflow, and governance.
Attestor does not determine universal truth, issue certifications on behalf of Certifier, redefine Registry records, rewrite Chronicle history, establish Anchor integrity references, create Beacon Discovery Signals, or assume the canonical responsibilities of other Suite institutions.
Attestor begins with a bounded trust-relevant matter and potential governed inputs rather than an assumed conclusion. Potential inputs are subjected to governed Eligibility determination; the resulting eligible governed inputs participate in the evaluation basis; an attributable Attestation is evaluated through Rule-Constrained Evaluation; provenance, conflicts, uncertainty, relevant state, and limitations are preserved; and the bounded conclusion is expressed as a Trust Statement.
Attestor is a distinct Satoshium Suite institution with a bounded canonical responsibility. It consumes or references authoritative information from other institutions when appropriate and produces a separate trust-specific object without replacing the source objects that support it.
