Trust Statements define the structured outputs produced by Attestor to express accountable trust based on authoritative records and supporting references.
A Trust Statement does not replace certification. It explains what is being attested, what supports the statement, and where authority originates.
Canonical Output
The Trust Statement is Attestor's primary output: a structured attestation that connects a statement to its supporting records and responsible source.
Accountability
A Trust Statement should make clear who or what produced the statement, what it refers to, what supports it, and how it can be reviewed.
Traceability
Trust Statements preserve references to the authoritative records, systems, artifacts, and events that support the attestation.
What a Trust Statement Contains
A Trust Statement should contain enough information to make the attestation understandable, reviewable, and connected to its supporting authority.

Statement Identifier
A unique identifier allows the Trust Statement to be referenced, cataloged, discovered, anchored, corrected, or related to other Suite objects.
Statement Type
The statement type identifies what kind of trust claim is being made, such as certification-supported, integrity-supported, event-supported, or record-supported.
Subject
The subject identifies the artifact, record, identity, certification, event, or relationship about which the Trust Statement is made.
Supporting Records
Supporting records identify the certifications, Registry Entries, Chronicle events, Anchor references, Beacon signals, or other evidence that support the statement.
Attestor
The attestor identifies the system, identity, process, or authority responsible for producing the Trust Statement.
Public References
Public references allow users and systems to locate the records, artifacts, or pages that support the statement.
Relationship to Certification
A certification may support a Trust Statement, but the Trust Statement is not the certification itself. Certifier remains the authority for certification decisions and certification artifacts.
Certification establishes authority. Trust Statements express accountable trust about that authority.
Relationship to the Suite
Trust Statements may reference outputs from across the Satoshium Suite, allowing Attestor to express trust while preserving institutional boundaries.

What a Trust Statement Does Not Do
A Trust Statement does not certify a subject, create Registry status, rewrite history, prove integrity by itself, publish discovery signals, or replace source authority.
A Trust Statement explains accountable trust. It does not become the source of all authority.
Trust Statement Philosophy
Trust becomes more useful when it is expressed clearly, supported by references, and accountable to the records that justify it.
The goal is not to ask users to trust blindly. The goal is to preserve a structured statement that explains why trust may be justified.
