Purpose
Beacon exists as the Satoshium Suite institution for discovery and signals.
Its purpose is to publish Discovery Signals and discovery metadata that help users and Suite workflows locate relevant sources, canonical objects, and relationships while preserving attribution, provenance, traceability, context, and institutional authority.
Visibility
Information and authoritative Suite objects have limited utility if they cannot be found. Beacon improves their discoverability without assuming authority over them.
Navigation
Beacon assists users and workflows in navigating sources, Discovery Signals, discovery metadata, and references to canonical objects maintained throughout the Suite.
Transparency
Discovery should preserve attribution, provenance, stable references, source visibility, and institutional ownership.
Accessibility
Beacon seeks to reduce information friction and improve access to meaningful information through reviewable, traceable discovery structures.
Exploration
Discovery supports investigation, learning, research, exploration, and Suite workflows without dictating conclusions or transferring authority from the originating institution.

Beacon helps users and Navigator-directed workflows locate information across the Satoshium Suite while preserving transparency, source attribution, provenance, stable references, and the authority boundaries of each institution.
Purpose Statement
Modern information environments contain more information than any individual can reasonably process.
Help users find the signal.
Beacon owns the Discovery Signals and discovery metadata it publishes. When those objects reference authoritative objects maintained by another Suite institution, that institution retains authority over the referenced object.
Reference does not transfer authority.
That purpose remains at the center of Beacon's mission and architecture as it advances through Suite alignment and production preparation.
