Satoshium Certification Standard

The Satoshium Certification Standard defines the governed rule layer for certification expectations. Certifier implements those expectations and remains the Suite institution that exercises certification authority.

Other Suite institutions may reference or interact with certification records according to their own authority. Registration, preservation, integrity referencing, discovery, attestation, or workflow participation does not transfer Certifier authority.

Certification Authority Boundary

The Certification Standard defines certification expectations. It does not itself issue certifications or create generalized Suite-wide certification authority.

Certification Standard → defines certification expectations.
Certifier → exercises certification authority.
Certification Package → Certifier-owned canonical object.

Standard adoption ≠ authority transfer.
Reference ≠ authority transfer.
Downstream use ≠ certification ownership.

Certification Lifecycle

Defines the stages through which Certifier / certification-domain activity may progress, from submission and review through issuance, monitoring, renewal, suspension, revocation, expiration, or archival. It is not a universal Suite lifecycle.

Methodology

Certification Workflow

Defines the operational path used to perform Certifier / certification-domain work. It is not a universal Suite workflow or mandatory cross-institution pipeline.

Methodology

Evaluation Criteria

Defines criteria used for certification evaluation. These criteria do not automatically become Attestor evaluation criteria or universal Suite evaluation rules.

Methodology

Evidence Requirements

Defines evidence expectations for certification determinations. These requirements do not automatically govern the evidence rules of every other Suite institution.

Methodology

Certification Logic

Defines decision logic used within Certifier / certification-domain methodology. Certification logic is not Suite Governance decision logic.

Methodology

Certification Schema

Defines machine-readable representation requirements for certification records. Schema ≠ canonical object, and schema use does not create canonical ownership.

Methodology

Scoring Standard

Defines how scores may be used where certification scoring is explicitly adopted. Score ≠ certification authority, Trust Statement, or universal trust status.

Core

Trust Standard

Defines shared trust-related expectations applicable to certification contexts without creating universal Suite-wide trust authority or a canonical Suite-wide Trust Signal.

Core

Governance Standard

Defines how official Suite Standards are maintained, changed, versioned, deprecated, superseded, and preserved. It is distinct from the broader Suite Governance Model.

Institutional

Cross-Institution Boundary

Certification objects may participate in broader Suite workflows without turning certification into the governing authority for Registry, Chronicle, Anchor, Beacon, Attestor, Navigator, or Atlas.

Conceptual Sequence ≠ Mandatory Pipeline.
Exercised Lineage ≠ Mandatory Architecture.
Reference ≠ Authority Transfer.

Each institution retains authority over its own canonical objects, lifecycle, publication state, correction, versioning, and institutional determinations.

Governance Boundary

The Certification Standard operates within settled Suite architecture. Changes to institutional role, canonical ownership, Suite membership, authority allocation, or constitutional dependency require Suite Governance / Architecture Reconciliation.

Certification Standard ≠ Suite Governance.
Standards Governance ≠ Constitutional Governance.

Standard Role

The Certification Standard is the governed rule surface for certification expectations. It supports consistent certification practice without turning certification into a shared authority layer across the Suite.

Standards define certification expectations.
Certification Methodology defines certification implementation.
Certifier performs certification and owns the Certification Package.

Certification becomes durable when the method is separate from the tool that applies it.
