Versions Standard
The Versions Standard defines how Satoshium standards, methodologies, schemas, specifications, and other governed artifacts evolve while preserving historical integrity.
Every published version remains part of the historical record, while current operative status, supersession, correction, and governance decision identity remain explicit.

Establishes how revisions, corrections, enhancements, supersession, deprecations, and related governance decisions are documented over time.

A version identifies a governed edition or state. A Governance Decision Record (GDR) preserves the decision that authorizes or establishes governance. A changed governance conclusion requires a new GDR rather than silent revision of the prior decision.
Governance Decision Records
Governance Decision Records remain historically attributable to the periods in which they governed. Later decisions may supersede earlier decisions prospectively without mutating the historical record.
