Certification Standards

Standards define the expectations applied during certification. Within the Satoshium ecosystem, those expectations are governed at the Suite level and implemented operationally by Certifier.

Certifier does not independently own the certification rule layer. Suite Standards define what certification requires; Suite Methodology defines how review is performed; Certifier applies both to produce Certification Packages, reports, receipts, certified records, and Suite-ready references.

Suite Standards

Suite Standards are the governing expectations used across the Satoshium Suite. They define the institutional requirements for certification, evidence, trust, governance, interoperability, schemas, terminology, scoring, and versioning.

Certifier serves as the operational implementation of the Suite certification framework. It applies Suite Standards to certification subjects and records the resulting evidence, evaluation, decision, and generated artifacts.

The Certification Standard defines the expectations for a certification review, including scope, applicable standards, evidence sufficiency, evaluation logic, certification class, decision, and certification history.

The Evidence Standard defines the factual materials needed to support certification findings, including source references, documentation, reports, screenshots, inventories, mapping, and preserved context.

The Trust Standard supports reviewable trust by requiring visible reasoning, preserved evidence, transparent determinations, public artifacts, and long-term references across the Suite.

Interoperability Standards ensure Certifier outputs can be referenced by Registry, preserved by Chronicle, integrity-supported by Anchor, surfaced by Beacon, attested by Attestor, and orchestrated by Navigator.

Versioning Standards preserve the relationship between certification records, standard versions, methodology versions, review dates, generated artifacts, revisions, renewals, revocations, and archived states.

Standards Role

Standards are the expectation layer of certification. They define what must be reviewed, what evidence is required, what conditions must be satisfied, and how a certification decision can be understood by future reviewers, systems, and users.

Certifier applies standards; it does not replace them. The governing standards live at the Suite level so certification remains consistent across Certifier, Atlas, Registry, Chronicle, Anchor, Beacon, Attestor, Navigator, and future Satoshium systems.

Operational Standard Flow

Certifier applies Suite Standards through a repeatable operational sequence: identify the certification subject, confirm scope, collect evidence, assemble the Certification Package, evaluate the record, issue a decision, and generate certification artifacts.

Suite Standards define the expectations; Certifier makes their application reviewable.
