Purpose
Anchor Integration defines how Integrity References connect to authoritative Suite artifacts while preserving institutional separation and later integrity verification.
Anchor Integration defines how Satoshium Anchor participates in the Suite by preserving durable Integrity References for authoritative artifacts owned by other institutions.
Integration is reference-first. Anchor strengthens reviewable integrity without absorbing the authority, meaning, lifecycle, certification, historical interpretation, trust context, or workflow of the artifact being referenced.
Anchor Integration defines how Integrity References connect to authoritative Suite artifacts while preserving institutional separation and later integrity verification.
Each Suite institution owns its own canonical object. Anchor owns the Integrity Reference created for a defined representation of an external authoritative artifact.
Anchor should reference authoritative objects rather than duplicate, reinterpret, or replace them.
Anchor contributes cryptographic, temporal, signature, verification, and commitment context that can be used to evaluate whether a referenced representation remains consistent with its anchored state.
Anchor may preserve Integrity References for any of these authoritative objects or their governed representations without taking ownership of them.
Anchor integrates with another Suite institution through a governed reference relationship.
The external institution remains authoritative for the Source Artifact. Anchor becomes authoritative only for its own Integrity Reference and Anchor-controlled integrity metadata.
Atlas remains authoritative for jurisdiction intelligence and Atlas-owned records. Anchor may preserve Integrity References for defined Atlas representations without becoming the intelligence authority.
Certifier remains authoritative for Certification Packages, certification determinations, certification lifecycle, and generated certification artifacts. Anchor may preserve their integrity without becoming the certification authority.
Registry remains authoritative for Satoshium Registry Entries, registration metadata, classifications, Registry lifecycle, and public cataloging. Anchor may preserve integrity context for an SREG representation.
Chronicle remains authoritative for Chronicle Entries and its historical- preservation representation. Anchor may preserve an Integrity Reference for a defined Chronicle Entry representation without becoming the historical authority.
Beacon remains authoritative for Discovery Signals and Discovery Metadata. Anchor may preserve integrity context for those artifacts without becoming the discovery institution.
Attestor remains authoritative for Trust Statements. Anchor may preserve the integrity of a Trust Statement representation without determining whether the statement should be trusted.
Navigator remains authoritative for Workflow Definitions and orchestration logic. Anchor may preserve integrity references for workflow artifacts without becoming the workflow authority.
Anchor may also preserve integrity lineage for Anchor-owned artifacts, provided the process does not create recursive or redundant structure without durable institutional value.
Anchor may preserve Integrity References for Certifier artifacts such as:
The exact artifact selected should follow the applicable Canonical Representation and Representation Boundary rather than automatically anchoring every derived artifact.
The current production Suite provides concrete authoritative objects that may later become Anchor candidates:
Anchor has not yet assigned production Integrity References to these artifacts. They serve as useful future integration candidates after the Anchor production architecture is complete.
Anchor preserves only the integrity context necessary to make later review possible.
Anchor does not need to duplicate the complete Source Artifact merely to preserve integrity evidence about it.
Where useful, a Source Institution may later reference the corresponding Anchor Integrity Reference so reviewers can move in both directions:
Reciprocal references improve discoverability while preserving the same authority boundary.
Anchor must not copy another institution's status or lifecycle into Anchor as though it were Anchor's own institutional state.
A Source Artifact may be:
while the Anchor Integrity Reference maintains its own separate Publication State, Lifecycle State, Integrity State, Version, and verification history.
A later Source Artifact change does not automatically invalidate the earlier Integrity Reference.
Anchor should preserve enough lineage to distinguish:
An Anchor reference does not transfer:
Anchor remains responsible only for its own integrity-preservation record.
Anchor should strengthen interoperability by preserving independently reviewable integrity context while leaving every other Suite institution authoritative for its own canonical object.
