Satoshium Chronicle

Satoshium Chronicle is the historical-preservation institution of the Satoshium Suite. It preserves qualifying historical Occurrences through canonical Chronicle Entries while maintaining authoritative references, Sources, Evidence, Provenance, Verification, Validation, Corrections, Versions, publication lineage, and historical continuity.

Chronicle does not preserve every activity and does not replace the authority of the Suite systems it references. It preserves qualifying historical memory in a structured, transparent, traceable, and institutionally bounded form.

Institutional Foundation

These pages define why Chronicle exists, what it may preserve, the vocabulary it uses, and the institutional rules that govern historical preservation.

Canonical Entry Architecture

These pages define the Chronicle Entry, its identity, classifications, admission rule, controlled vocabularies, schemas, and the public directory of canonical Entries.

Canonical Object

Admission

Preservation Eligibility

Defines Chronicle's admission rule and the criteria used to decide whether an Occurrence should become part of Chronicle's durable historical record.

Open Preservation Eligibility →
Classification

Event Types

Defines the governed classifications used to describe the kind of Occurrence represented by a Chronicle Entry without creating a second canonical object.

Certification Events

Explains how qualifying certification Occurrences are preserved through Chronicle Entries governed by the Certification Event-Type Profile while Certifier retains certification authority.

Historical Context and Traceability

These pages preserve how Chronicle knows what it knows, how Entries relate to other records, and how information remains attributable and reviewable over time.

Traceability

Sources

Defines how Chronicle identifies where information came from, when direct references are sufficient, and when a separately structured Source Record may add durable historical value.

Open Sources →
Traceability

Evidence

Defines material that bears on Chronicle's historical representation and explains when evidentiary value does—or does not—justify a separate Evidence Record.

Open Evidence →
Traceability

Provenance

Defines how information originated, moved, was accessed, and entered Chronicle, including authoritative references and cross-system preservation paths.

Open Provenance →
Context

Relationships

Defines governed connections among Chronicle Entries, authoritative Suite objects, supporting records, prior states, and historically related Occurrences.

Historical Preservation

Defines Historical Significance, retrospective preservation, institutional continuity, long-term memory, and preservation of material Entry states.

Integration

Defines reference-based interoperability across Suite institutions while keeping ownership, authority, lifecycle, and determinations with the systems that govern them.

Operational Review and Change Control

These pages govern how Chronicle reviews, validates, publishes, maintains, corrects, versions, and tracks the institutional state of Entries.

Review

Verification

Defines Chronicle's review of its own historical representation using authoritative references, Sources, Evidence, Provenance, temporal consistency, Relationships, and known limitations.

Open Verification →
Conformance

Validation

Defines the institutional and machine-readable rules used to determine whether the exact Chronicle Entry Version under review conforms and may proceed to the Publication Gate.

Open Validation →
Lifecycle

Lifecycle

Defines the broader institutional journey of a Chronicle Entry and keeps Lifecycle State distinct from Verification State, Validation result, and Publication State.

Change Control

Versioning

Defines preserved Entry Versions, their distinction from Schema Versions, material-change rules, prior-state preservation, and version lineage.

Open Versioning →
Change Control

Corrections

Defines how Chronicle corrects its own records visibly, preserves prior substantive states, documents rationale, and triggers Reverification or Revalidation when required.

Publication

Publication

Defines Publication State, CHR-VAL-011 Publication Readiness, the separate Publication Gate, canonical public representations, withdrawal, publication lineage, and post-publication change control.

References Over Duplication

Authority remains with the Suite institution or external system that owns the referenced authoritative object. Reference does not transfer authority.

Foundation Architecture

Chronicle's foundation is intentionally layered. Each page above governs a distinct institutional question rather than serving as an isolated documentation page.

Purpose / Scope / Definitions / Rules Preservation Eligibility Entry Model / Identity / Classification Schemas / Controlled Values Traceability / Review Lifecycle / Versioning / Corrections Publication / Historical Preservation
Foundation pages establish meaning and boundaries. Entry architecture defines the canonical object. Traceability pages preserve how the record became knowable. Operational-control pages govern review and change. Historical Preservation carries the resulting institutional memory forward.

Chronicle Production Workflow

Chronicle's production procedure follows a repeatable operational path from identification of a qualifying Occurrence through publication and preservation.

Identify Occurrence Preservation Eligibility Authoritative References Event Type / Profile Identifier Entry Relationships / Sources / Evidence / Provenance Verification Validation Publication Gate Publication Preservation
Schema defines structure. Verification reviews the representation. Validation tests conformance. The Publication Gate makes the institutional approval decision. Publication changes the public production state.

Current Status

Chronicle is now operational as a production historical-preservation institution. Phase VII production schemas and Phase VIII Validation / operational procedure architecture have been exercised successfully in production.

On August 22, 2026, Chronicle formally assigned and published CHR-2026-0001, its first canonical production Entry, preserving the July 5, 2026 issuance of SC-CERT-2026-0001.

CHR-2026-0001 · Entry Version 1 · Lifecycle active · Verification verified · Validation PASS · CHR-VAL-011 PASS · Publication Gate APPROVED · Publication published.

Current work is focused on post-publication cleanup, documentation reconciliation, reciprocal Suite references, and continued production hardening rather than establishing Chronicle's first operational capability.

Chronicle Principle

Events happen. Suite systems establish authority. Chronicle preserves qualifying historical memory.

Preserve the Occurrence. Preserve the context. Preserve the path by which history became knowable.
