🧭 Atlas Certification Evidence

Atlas Certification Evidence defines the supporting material used to evaluate Satoshium Atlas records under the Satoshium Suite certification architecture.

Evidence does not become the certification subject by itself. It supports the certification subject by making Atlas records traceable, reviewable, reproducible, and capable of being evaluated under the Suite Standards, Suite Methodology, and Atlas Certification Framework.

Purpose

The Atlas Certification Evidence page defines how evidence functions within Atlas certification. It identifies the material that supports certification review without converting supporting artifacts into independent certification subjects.

Evidence answers one primary question: what supports the certification conclusion?

Evidence supports the certification subject by preserving the source basis, record context, factual support, and review material used during certification evaluation.

Evidence Boundary

Evidence is reviewed during certification but is not normally certified as an isolated object. The certified object remains the complete Atlas record or formally defined Atlas certification subject.

Evidence supports certification. It does not replace the certification subject.

Evidence Categories

Atlas certification may rely on several categories of evidence depending on the record type, certification subject, and evaluation profile.

Source Evidence

Source evidence includes cited references, jurisdiction materials, official records, public documentation, preserved links, and other materials used to support Atlas record claims.

Record Evidence

Record evidence includes Atlas files that show how a record was created, structured, updated, reviewed, and maintained as part of the Atlas record family.

Signal Evidence

Signal evidence supports the indicators used within an Atlas record by connecting signals to source material, observed attributes, and certification-relevant record conclusions.

Trust Dimension Evidence

Trust dimension evidence supports evaluation of readiness, transparency, reliability, stability, or other trust dimensions defined within the Atlas record.

Metadata Evidence

Metadata evidence supports identification, versioning, repository location, update state, canonical paths, record dates, and machine-readable context.

Change Evidence

Change evidence preserves update history, record revisions, certification-relevant changes, and the historical context needed to understand the record state at evaluation time.

Evidence Requirements

Evidence used in Atlas certification should be sufficient to support review, traceability, reproducibility, and institutional confidence in the certification decision.

Evidence should be identifiable and attributable to the record it supports.
Evidence should be accessible through preserved Atlas materials or referenced locations.
Evidence should support the claims, signals, metadata, or trust dimensions being evaluated.
Evidence should be organized consistently enough for review and reconstruction.
Evidence should preserve the context needed to understand the record at certification time.

Evidence quality determines whether an Atlas record can be meaningfully reviewed under the certification architecture.

Relationship to Certification Artifacts

SCPR	Summarizes the public certification outcome and may reference evidence-supported conclusions.
SCR	Records receipt-level certification information and points to the evaluated subject.
SCRD	Preserves the certification record and structured evidence context.
SREG	Catalogs the certified record after certification; it does not become Atlas evidence.

Evidence Rules

Atlas certification evidence must preserve the distinction between support material and institutional outputs.

Evidence supports the certification subject; it does not become the certified subject unless formally defined as one.
Evidence must remain traceable to the Atlas record or certification package it supports.
Evidence should be preserved in a form that enables later review or reconstruction.
Evidence does not replace Suite Standards, Suite Methodology, or certification judgment.
Operational outputs from other Suite tools may reference evidence but remain owned by those tools.

Evidence discipline prevents certification from becoming unsupported assertion while preserving institutional separation across the Suite.

Evidence Versioning

Evidence should preserve the record state evaluated during certification. When Atlas records change, updated evidence and change history should allow future reviewers to distinguish between the record as certified and the record as later updated.
